Past Indefinite Tense in Urdu | Structures and Examples

Past Indefinite Tense. Past indefinite indicates that the action described in a sentence has happened before and is not a current happening. Example: She watched television. The example indicates that the action of watching was an event of the past.

Simple Sentences

 

ہم گاڑی میں سوار ہوئے	We boarded the train
انہوں نے ہم کو تحفہ دیا	They give us a gift
حمید نے انعام حاصل کیا	Hameed won a prize
لوگوں نے چور کو پکڑا	People caught the thief
کتے نے خرگوش کا تعاب کیا	The dog chased the rabbit
میں نے خط ڈاک میں ڈالا	I posted the letter

Negative Sentences

اس نے والدین کا حکم نہ مانا	He did not obey his parents
انہوں نے ہماری مدد نہیں کی	They did not help us

لوگوں نے اس قانون کے خلاف احتجاج نہ کیا	People did not protest against law
