Tag - prepositional verbs exercises

In English Grammar, by verb, we mean an action. And prepositions are the words governing, and usually preceding, a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation to another word or element in the clause, such as main in the car, baby at the shopping mall. When these verbs and prepositions are collectively used, they don't change their individual meanings their meanings remain same as they were alone. When a verb is part of a longer sentence, it is often followed by a specific preposition. Some verbs need a preposition before an object or another verb. The preposition is only grammatical, so it doesn't change the meaning of the verb. The combination of such a verb and its required preposition is called a prepositional.
